Booking a Disney Cruise

Since our family has cruised in the past I already had a list of things I knew I would be looking for, they are all personal preferences to our family but might provoke a thought of what your family wants.

  1. Location of Port
  2. Ports
  3. Room Set Up and Location
  4. Ground Transportation

Location of Port/Ports

For this particular trip we were looking for something out of Florida and specifically Miami and something that lined up with our kids Christmas vacation. We were also very interested in a least one Mexico port and were not as concerned with a Bahama port. Since this is our first Disney Cruise we didn’t have a preference on the ship but I’m sure in trips to come we will develop a favorite. The Disney site has a great filter to narrow the search down.

Room Set Up and Location

Our family has a preference for an Inside room (we love the way it makes you sleep) this is a complete personal preference and I know many feel the complete opposite. We also love to get a room close to the elevators we don’t mind the noise in comparison to the quick on off. Disney is much like any cruise were you can pick cabin type, deck and room each decision will change your price point but its clearly indicated and your walked through a quick wizard to help you out

Ground Transportation and Extras

During this check out wizard you have the opportunity to add ground transportation and travel protection. On this trip specifically we were looking for ground transportation we will be taking a red eye in and are wanting to take advantage of the Keys before we board and don’t want to have to keep track of our bags while we play.
